Aboriginal Heritage Walk

Description :

Come along with a First Peoples educator to gain insight into the rich history and thriving cultures of Australia's First Peoples, particularly in relation to plants and landscapes. Discover First Peoples stories, connection to plants and unique uses for food, tools and medicine. 

Adults & students will: 

 

  • Gain a greater understanding, respect and appreciation for the diversity of First Peoples customs, rich heritage and culture
  • Connect to the land and understand how we can care sustainably for Country
  • Go for a cultural walk of the Gardens

 

Key focuses: 
 

  • Cultural heritage and historical significance of Country
  • Exploring connections to Country and sense of belonging
  • Use of plants for food, tools, shelter and medicine.
