Homes and Hideaways

Description :

Through storytelling, play and exploration children will discover some of the animals and their habitats in the Children's Garden. Children will create their own home or hideaway using natural materials sourced from the garden. The beautiful interpretive signs created for the 20th anniversary of the Children's Garden support children's language and literacy learning.

 

Children will experience:

 

  • Stories about animals in the garden
  • Child-led play constructing with natural materials

 

Children will learn:

 

  • How to pot up a plant to take with them
  • How plants provide food, shelter and habitat
